Bearing End Cap

Regal Rexnord® PT Select Spherical Roller Bearings offer a high-quality, general purpose, low-cost off-the-shelf solution. The portfolio includes:

  • shaft sizes from 1-7/16" to 4-7/16"

  • six housing styles

  • triple lip or clearance seal

  • fixed or expansion designs

All part number combinations are in stock and ready for immediate delivery.

One thing missing from this portfolio was an end cap option.  End caps serve two primary purposes. First, they provide an additional barrier to contamination in the bearing. Less contamination means longer bearing life, which leads to less downtime and lower cost.

Second, an end cap is used as a safety device by enclosing the bearing’s rotating components.  End covers or caps sometimes are only available at the time the bearing is ordered, and many can’t be retrofitted in the field. This can cause lead time issues, installation delays or inhibit the customer’s ability to maintain their equipment.

Our newly designed PT Series end caps remove those challenges. The breakthrough magnetic technology of the PT Series end caps means no fasteners, snap rings or snap features are required. You simply push them on to achieve maximum contact between the end cap magnets and the bearing. Even better, these end caps are in stock and ready for delivery and can be field retrofitted to any Rexnord PT Select Bearing.
