Impressive Capabilities
Our steel casting capabilities are supported by over one million square feet of manufacturing facilities under roof at the main plant location in Milwaukee. We have an impressive collection of steel foundry, machine shop, gear cutting and grinding facilities to offer full service steel casting support and deliver exactly what you need.
Steel Foundry Facilities
Our melting facilities consist of one basic practice electric arc furnace with a 70 ton capacity. We pour carbon and alloy HY-80 (Mil -S -23008 D) cast steels with a casting size of 200 - 100,000# unit ship weight.
Our sweep molding capabilities include 9 permanent and 2 temporary pits. Our no bake (Sodium Silicate) core line can handle a core weight of up to 7,000 lbs. We have a fully staffed pattern shop on site with flasks sizes from 42 inches to 15 feet in diameter.
Our Heat Treating Facilities include six programmable car furnaces with a maximum size of 30' x 24' x 12'. We also have water quenching equipment available with maximum size of 24' x 24' x 11' and 10-25 hp agitators.
We use Nondestructive Testing Facilities that includes a fully equipped materials lab, a 20,000 amp DuoVac Magnaflux machine, dye penetrant inspection and ultrasonic inspection. Radiographic and pattern shop facilities are available.
