Welded Steel Chains
Our Welded Steel Chains combine strength, durability and economy to suit the needs of industry's most demanding applications. The balanced design and manufacture of Welded Steel Chain yields long life and trouble free service in a wide variety of applications.

Chain Type

Chain Features

Narrow Mill Narrow series chains are used for general conveyor service, and are furnished with through hardened sidebars and barrels. The selectively induction hardened rivets provide the optimum combination of resistance to wear and impact loading. Pins are assembled into sidebars with precisely controlled press fits levels to enhance fatigue strength.
Wide Mill Wide series chains are used for drag conveyor applications. The barrels have a straight pusher face providing an effective scraping surface.
Hard Face Heavy-duty series are hard face welded on sliding surfaces to ensure wear resistance in abrasive applications.

Roller Chains
Link-Belt® and Rexnord® Roller Chains offer a wide variety of options.

Chain Type

Chain Features

Standard Roller
Chains
Standard roller chains are broadly used in power transmission applications ranging from general industrial applications to demanding oil field service to operation in such specialized areas as food processing and heavy construction equipment.
Corrosion Resistant Roller Chains Standard roller chain made of stainless steel provides excellent performance in applications requiring high resistance to corrosive attack.
Double-Pitch
Drive Chains
Double-pitch drive chains frequently prove the economical choice for slower speed drives on relatively long centers.
Link-Belt® SU and Rexnord® Heavy "H" Series Roller Chains

These chain types provide additional capacity to withstand intermittent shock loading. Features include improved fatigue resistance, thicker sidebars, and heat-treated pins.

Trans-Flex®
Chains
Trans-Flex chains are designed for severe duty applications such as in transit mixers, crawler drives, and other uses requiring delivery of full power despite recurrent sprocket misalignment.
ULTR-O-LIFE™ O-ring Roller Chains These chains use square cross sectional O-rings to seal in special lube while sealing out dirt, moisture and other contaminants. They are available in 5/8” thru 1 1/4” pitch single pitch series and run on standard ANSI sprockets.
Side Bow Roller Chains Side bow roller chains have extra clearance with the ability to flex and twist. They are ideal for use on curved conveyors or to transmit power under misaligned sprocket conditions and available in 3/8” to 1” single pitch.
Block Chains

Block chains are used in light load, low speed conveyors. Consisting of block links (solid or laminated) and link plates joined by pins, all block chains are 1” pitch and vary in width of block from 3/16” to 1/2”.

Hollow Pin Chains

Hollow pin chains are constructed with special pin links which have hollow pins assembled in the pin plates. This unique design allows easy insertion of cross rods or attachments to preassembled chain at desired spacings. Attachments can be repositioned without removing  the chain from the conveyor. It is available in single and double-pitch with or without Carrier Rollers.

REDI-LUBE™ Chains These chains are self-lubricating, heavy walled, and oil-impregnated. Their sintered steel bushings replace standard ANSI chain bushing and roller. Available in single and double-pitch.
British Standard Chains Chains that comply with metric ISO standards are available.

Sprockets
Sprockets are a critical component in any chain system whether it's power transmission, conveying or elevating. Proper sprocket and chain interactive design is critical to ensure long chain life. Rexnord supplies a wide variety of fabricated steel, cast and forged sprockets. Sprockets can also be supplied in various cast materials, with or without hardened teeth.

Sprocket Type

Sprocket Features

Cast Arm Body Sprockets Cast arm body sprockets are generally used where larger sizes are required. The use of arms reduces weight, facilitates handling, and lowers cost.
Cast Split
(Arm or Plate) Body Sprockets
Split body design facilitates mounting and removal from shafts without disturbing bearings or other connected equipment, greatly reducing installation and downtime.
Cast Plate
Body Sprockets
Cast plate body sprockets are generally required for smaller sizes where the use of arms is impractical, and on larger sizes when the chain pull exceeds the strength of the arm body sprockets.
Fabricated Steel Sprockets Fabricated steel sprockets are flame cut and manufactured from plain carbon steel with flame or induction hardened teeth.
Shear Pin Sprockets Shear pin sprockets are used in applications where jamming or overloading is prevalent. Shear pins are designed to transmit the required torque under normal operating conditions, but to fail when an overload or jam occurs, thus protecting machinery and equipment from damage.
Special Sprockets Sprockets can be made of special design, such as flanged-rim (used particularly in the rock products and fertilizer industries). Long-tooth or gappedtooth sprockets can also be made.

For most engineered chain applications, fabricated steel sprockets are recommended, offering the best combination of performance, availability, and price. Fabricated steel sprockets can be provided for every chain-tooth combination and are readily available. Rexnord sprockets are available in single piece, split and segmental configurations heat treated to suit application requirements. Sprockets are available with a wide selection of mounting hubs to suit system requirements.

Whatever type selected, our sprockets are designed for proper chain-sprocket interaction. Rexnord engineers have selected the proper tooth pressure angle, pitch line clearance, bottom diameter and tooth pocket radius for optimum performance and service life.
