Composite Sleeve Bearings are a composite of filament wound fiberglass and epoxy resin bonded securely to a Teflon* fabric liner. This totally non-metallic bearing, by virtue of its manufacturing process, achieves a quality and performance consistency that can't be duplicated with individual part processing. They are manufactured under a quality management system structured to comply with the requirements of SAE AS9100. Typical motions include pivot, oscillating, linear sliding and slow speed full rotation. Typical loads range from 4,000 up to 30,000 psi. Since the bearings are self-lubricated, their use eliminates contaminating lubricants and complex lubrication systems.
