More Than Just a Manufacturer
Focused on the needs of the growing municipal water and wastewater market, GA Industries entered its second century in 1995. A union with the Rodney Hunt brand produced the world's most comprehensive product line of check valves, air valves, ball valves, butterfly valves, automatic control valves, sluice gates and actuation systems focusing on the needs of the municipal, industrial and commercial water and wastewater industry.
Our Fontaine brand also provides heavy duty sluice gates have been successfully used in a wide variety of applications, including municipal water works and treatment facilities, flood control projects, reservoirs, and fish hatcheries. Gate shapes include square or rectangular with square, rectangular or circular opening, and can be furnished with standard flanged back or extended flanged back frames. All units feature adjustable corrosion-resistant side wedges and corrosion-resistant malleable seat facings locked in dovetail grooves. All mating or sliding surfaces are fully machined including close tolerance tongue and groove guides.
We provide stainless steel hardware that has very high corrosion and erosion resistance, allowing for many years of operation with minimum maintenance. Stainless steel construction allows our products to be made in many shapes, to measure flow precisely. The gates are also lighter and easier to handle and install than cast iron gates.
When GA Industries and Rodney Hunt both joined the Rexnord family on February 1, 2008, our position was strengthened as a world leader in the engineering, manufacturing and delivery of high quality products to meet the changing needs of the municipal, hydropower and industrial water market. We enjoy an international reputation as more than just a valve "manufacturer." Our team of problem-solving engineers and network of sales representatives work closely with design professionals and end users to choose the right valve for the application. Engineers employ computer modeling and hydraulic analysis of system data to aid in the valve selection process, especially for pressure surge, waterhammer, cavitation and other critical control problems.
